As COVID-19 has become a global problem, together with the interest and concern in safeguarding and increasing health measures, we are working with our supply plants to develop anti-bacterial films.

Characteristics of anti-bacterial film

Antibacterial (or antimicrobial) film has had special chemical treatment with copper (Cu+) materials on the surface to prevent the spread of bacteria because copper (Cu+) is one of the public-health antimicrobial materials approved by the U.S. EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) and has an inherent ability to continuously kill a wide range of harmful bacteria within two hours of contact.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) is an antibacterial compound that is harmless to the human body and the environment.
Zinc is a trace element necessary for human health.
Zinc oxide has been approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a safe antibacterial agent.

ZnO is listed as a nutrient by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and approved for use as an indirect food additive for polymers in contact with food.
Finally, ZnO is an active ingredient for sun and skin protection. Zinc oxide constantly destroys infectious bacteria and inhibits the reproduction of bacteria.

The antimicrobial zinc oxide film is certified for stability using materials that have passed the FDA and various other safety tests, ensuring its safety for consumers.
Our manufacturers’ antibacterial zinc oxide film has been tested by certified laboratories. It kills 99.9% of harmful bacteria and viruses such as pneumonia, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, salmonella and influenza, etc.

It can be applied to a wide range of products used in everyday life, stopping the spread of germs caused by contact. It is more transparent than other antibacterial films.

We are developing these films for different applications in thermal and wet lamination.

TYPES OF ANTI-BACTERIAL FILM
We currently have the capacity to supply the following range of anti-bacterial films:
Thermo anti-bacterial films
KILLS MORE THAN 99% OF BACTERIA (Including Colon Bacillus, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typimurium, E. coli, etc.)

A. Lamination films:

    • 24 micron gloss BOPP film
    • 25 micron matt BOPP film

Application: Same as the usual applications for the lamination of book covers, etc…

Anti-bacterial wet films

STOPS MORE THAN 99% OF BACTERIA (including Colon Bacillus, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typimurium, E. coli, salmonella, etc.)

A. Lamination films:

    • 12 micron gloss BOPP film
    • 13 micron matt BOPP film

Use: Same as the usual applications for the lamination of book covers, etc…

We inform you that under the collaboration agreement we have signed with the company NISSEI NOMURA, who is the exclusive distributor of FILMAX (manufacturer of BOPP Film in Korea), as from March 2013 our warehouses supply 12 mc gloss corona-treated polypropylene and 13 mc matt corona-treated polypropylene.
